More Information
No fluff, Camp is great. We’ve iterated on this camp 6 times over the past 3 years and the formula has really developed. From fireside vibes to friendly competition in songwriting challenges, this Camp promises to be filled with the #livelaughlove energy that only unadulterated time immersed in Mother Nature can provide.
Songs. Yes, we will be writing songs. No fear of the awkard blank page moments, we’ve got some fun and activating prompts that will keep you and your co-writers intentional and focused.
Content. Lord knows we need a seemingly endless supply of photos of ourselves holding our instrument in order to survive on these internet roads. Every artist will leave with multiple looks from A Strong Photo. If you’re looking to beef up the EPK, now’s the time.
Performance. If you’ve ever been curious about tools to up the ante on your performance, I’ll also be leading a workshop on breaking down your song like an actor breaks down a script, using tools from my experience performing as an actor/director.

About Us
Andy Strong – Founder / Director
I love to create with interesting given circumstances.
How are we informed by performing on top of a city bus, by writing a song out in the woods, by singing and telling our songs in a sacred space? How does this change the nature of lyrics and performance?
With roots in acting, years of hosting collaborative spaces, and a passion for education, Andy founded Camp Songwriter to provide immersive, transformative experiences for artists at the intersection of art, technology, and nature.
As an actor, he has appeared in campaigns for Google, Honda, Endicia, Credit Karma, and Guitartricks.com. As a photographer, he founded A Strong Photo, an award-winning studio whose work has been published in Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Outside.com, and Shutter Magazine and has had photo and video featured in the Bitcoin Museum.
Andy is also an educator and speaker, coaching creatives and entrepreneurs at Shutterfest, Balanced Breakfast Annual Summit, PianoFight, Bird School of Music, Germantown High School and Interlochen Arts Academy. In Nashville, he currently leads the Balanced Breakfast Music Industry Meetup, hosts Songwriter Sanctuary, a quarterly songwriter round in collaboration with South End United Methodist Church, and produces the upcoming music series Sky Bravo’s Fantastical Showbus, where artists perform stripped-down sets atop a city bus.
But frfr, it’s called a play. It’s called playing music. This… should be fun.

Lottie’s music skates the lines between electro psych folk & soul, and I’m so stoked to see what she’s cooking for the Happy Hour:)
Oscar Jesús Bugarin, Songwriter’s Round at Canoe Cove
OJB’s legendary 12 string blues have toured as a solo artist, band leader, and instrumentalist across the globe, wowing audiences with his soulful voice and smooth licks.
On top of looking perpetually cool, Oscar shreds the gnar as a multi-instrumentalist artist.
